Mrs. Bowen is a proud Georgia native, having graduated from Wayne County High School in 2015. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, with a minor in Psychology, from Georgia Southern University in 2019. She began her teaching career in middle grades science in Jesup, Georgia, and later pursued her Master of Arts in Teaching in Math and Science at Georgia College and State University, which she completed in 2021. Following the completion of her graduate studies, Mrs. Bowen transitioned to teaching high school science.
She holds certifications in secondary science as well as middle grades math and science. Currently, Mrs. Bowen teaches Anatomy and Physiology and Environmental Science. Her previous teaching experience also includes Physical Science and 7th-grade Life Science.
Mrs. Bowen has been married to her husband, Derrick Bowen, since 2021, and they have a son, Palmer, who was born January 2024.
