Chris Chavous joined the Warhawk family in 2022 as a Social Studies teacher. He currently serves as the Head Wrestling Coach and Assistant Coach for both the Softball and Baseball programs.

Mr. Chavous and his family relocated to Houston County in 2010 through his service in the United States Air Force. He honorably retired in April 2022 after 24 years of distinguished military service. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Intelligence Management.

Mr. Chavous is married to his wife, Katie, and they have two children. Their daughter, Nicole, is a 2022 graduate of Veterans High School and a senior at the University of Georgia. Their son, Joshua, is a 2025 VHS graduate and an incoming freshman at the University of Alabama.
