Mrs. Megan Jones is a native of Columbus, Georgia and has lived in Warner Robins for ten years. She earned her B.S. Ed in Language and Literacy Education from the University of Georgia ('11), her M.Ed in Secondary Education ('13) and her Ed.S in Curriculum ('14) from Georgia College & State University. She also holds certificates in leadership, reading, gifted education, and teacher support / coaching. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction at Columbus State University.
She began her career at Veterans High teaching 9th and 10th grade literature and will be teaching Honors 9th Literature and AP Literature in the 2021-22 school year while coaching swim. Additionally, she serves as the school's gifted lead teacher.
Mrs. Jones is married to her college sweetheart, Colton, who also teaches ELA at Veterans High School. They have a son, Carson, who attends Matt Arthur Elementary School. They also have a small zoo: two cats (Bear and Toby) as well as an Australian Shepherd, Miley. Mrs. Jones loves traveling, watching Georgia football, playing golf, working out, and spending time with friends and family.
